      • Ba-zing!

Hiney, you working today/tonight? We are hitting the AI around 3:30 and will be there for a while if you're interested. Would be cool if you could stop up.

Oh, and what were the end results of Kiley's compression test? I was wondering about that the other day...

        • He had one cylinder that was weak... 90 psi. Others checked in the 120-135 range.

              • Regardless, I'd be concerned about that 90 psi...

                • That's great, but the numbers speak for themselves. 125 is almost 100 psi off stock. I'd junk anything under 160 psi.

                        • I checked that cylinder 3 times, #3. 95 was the highest reading... I don't have a leak down/pressure differential tester. Also Ant, how many times did you crank the cylinder? I've always been told a general rule of thumb is 3 cranks... If you just crank and crank and crank it will build more pressure.

                          • No, it won't. I could crank all I wanted, it never went above 170-175-180.

                            • I'm saying it will stop at a point but I've heard the rule of thumb is 3 revolutions. Whatever it reaches in 3 revs is the comp, not what it reads after you crank it for 30...

                              • I think that may change depending on who you talk to. I read online 6-8. Andy said he held the throttle open WOT during the process and it yielded higher numbers. Whatever the case may be... 120-135 is a tired motor. Which is fine, because KL's are cheap.
