  • LOL...can't you just give them some food before you to go bed? Or are they the type that have to eat whatever is put in front of them right away?

    • They're kitties. They'll eat as soon as it's layed down. Sometimes I'll kick the little ****er out, notices I don't say ****er's, because Shmonkey is usually the violater. He'll coo and purr and sometimes even teabag me. He's jumped up on my chest and began purring. More than once, and sometimes he's just facing the wrong way. And I wake up to fuzzy nuts.

      • ^HAHAHAHA, gotcha. I just know that Heather's Dad's cat will eat whenever he's ready. His food can be sitting there for hours or even days. Then again, he's an indoor/outdoor cat, and does have somewhat of a different personality.

              • As some of you may know I've been unemployed for about a month now...

Looking to start a legit powder coat business with my buddy Tim but, in the meantime, I have no income coming in. Looks like I may have to go back to work for a little while being as my unemployment didn't get accepted.

Now do I go back working for Instron and make decent money working 2nd shift, 11 hour days 4 days a week, then be a dick and quit again in 6 months OR construction working 1st shift, 8-9 hours a day, 5-6 days a week making moderate money?

I really don't want to go back to Instron but it will give me more money to save to put towards the business. However, doing construction, I'll have my evenings back to work on cars, or to work on the powder coating...

                • That's a tough call Hiney. If I were you, I think I'd try my hand at the construction, if for no other reason to learn something new and expand your resume. It wouldn't be much fun having to work 6 days a week, but then again you'd have your evenings free. I do miss seeing your car in the parking lot, though! lol

                  • I did construction for 3 years before starting at Instron. I'd be working for the same guy doing the same stuff as I did before so really I would just be going back to something I already know... 1/2 days on Saturdays most of the time, plus it's all cash overtime. No bennies though.

                      • Yeah, but I wouldn't stay there long. I'm gonna tough it out and try for a few more weeks to actually start the business...

                        • If you DO have to go back to work, I suppose the obvious question is what work do you enjoy more? Do you enjoy being a machinist more, or doing construction?
