ok, So lets review what I need to buy fluid wise.
- 5 quarts oil
- ZR1 Filter
- Engine Flush (Gunk?)
- Anything else? Powersteering fluid, coolent..?

i still say you should run a kerosene flush.

other than that, you've got pretty much what you're going to need.

Well, from what I know the Gunk stuff is pretty much kerosene, so I dunno. Where would I buy kerosene?

you definately need some anifreez or coolant. Tranny fluid is a good idea I have no idea as to when it was changed. you'll need 3 quarts I believe of 75w 90 gear oil. Go with redline. amsoil, royal purple or mobil 1. get it all, be prepared

most who sell 75w90 have it only as a GL-5 spec lubricant and that is no good for the tranny. you want GL-4 rated lubricant because it does not contain sulphur.

deyan, if you want some performance, grab the redline mt-90. about 3 quarts of it.

I used the valvaline tranny stuff so far so good. But i would jump on the redline stuff that what Im going to switch over too.

ok, I'm gonna go out tomorrow and buy all the crap that I need.

I'm gonna see about the kerosene flush. Anyone done it here, and knows how to do it? Where can I get kerosene from? I'm sure that since that engine has been sitting around for a while now there will be quite a bit of crap inside, so maybe stronger flush would be benefitial.

Gunk contains kerosene...

pour kerosene in oil and idle for 10-15 minutes, change oil and repeat if necessary.

1 left over from my gear oil change. and 2 from pizzi. after his first change he did'nt want to use what was left over from the last change cause he thought it was contaminated from sitting so long.
